Oak Park, California, January 14, 2003 Docufide, Inc. has announced
that it has been invited by the National League of High Schools
to present at their annual technology conference on January 18th,
2003. The conference, co-sponsored by the California League of High
Schools, is designed to highlight innovation while discussing technology
related issues. Jim Kalember, School Board President at Oak Park
Unified School District will be presenting Secure Transcript to
a group of information technology managers from school districts
nationwide. Jeffrey M. Harris, Executive Vice President Chief
Relationship Officer, Docufide, Inc. will accompany Mr. Kalember
as serve as an expert during the presentation.
The NLHS and CLHS are premier organizations that touch key issues
related to secondary schools, said Mr. Harris. The processing
of paper transcripts is one of these issues and many schools are
quickly learning that using Secure Transcript saves them time, money
and increases the level of service they provide to their students.
Secure Transcript gives students the ability to order their transcripts
from any web-based computer. The software is designed to securely
transmit official school transcripts to colleges and universities
in the United States. Students in Oak Park can place orders 24 hours
a day, where they had previously been forced to wait in line to
order transcripts during school hours. By providing their e-mail
address upon ordering, students receive detailed confirmations of
the delivery status of this document
The scheduled one hour presentation will focus on how Oak Park
Unified School District is benefiting from its adoption of Secure
Transcript. Mr. Kalember will be demonstrating the cost savings
to the school district as well as showcasing the benefits to students.
This is a huge honor for us at Oak Park, said Jim Kalember, Oak
Park Unified School District Board President. We have had such
a positive experience using Secure Transcript. The current paper
process for students to send transcripts is burdensome and outdated.
Secure Transcript is an innovative way to provide added convenience
and reliability to the process. I am really looking forward to sharing
our story at this conference.
The conference will be held January 17-19 in Monterey, California
and will feature over 100 workshop sessions, national keynote speakers
and a large exhibit hall.
These conferences serve as a great way for us to outreach, but
also learn, said Mr. Harris. There are so many opportunities within
secondary education that can be solved through technology. Our long
term goal is to be able to provide far more than just a means of
helping students send their transcripts. Needless to say, we go
as a presenter, but participate as an attendee.
