Docufide's Secure Transcript(TM) Service Delivers to Over 1,000 Colleges and Universities

LOS ANGELES, June 8, 2005 -- Docufide, the leading provider of electronic school transcript exchange services, announced today that it has delivered transcripts to over 1,000 colleges and universities across the United States.

"This is a significant milestone, not just for Docufide but for the development of secure electronic transmission of student records," said John Reese, Docufide's CEO. "Admissions offices at all levels have desired electronic transcript submission for years; now it's a reality."

With Docufide's service, students use a secure, Web-based interface to order official copies of their transcripts sent to any college in the country. Colleges receive transcripts in the format they desire. The service is free to schools when the student pays the nominal transcript delivery fee, which can be waived for qualifying students.

The National Center of Education Statistics estimates that a transcript costs a high school over $8 to send and a college over $12 to receive, so the savings of paperless transcript delivery are emerging as important benefits for college admissions offices and high school guidance departments. "This type of offering, which saves money and staff hours while providing a service parents and students embrace, is what educators need to seek out and implement, especially when budgets are tight," said David Lange, assistant principal at Eagan High School in Eagan, MN.

"We are very interested in getting more high schools on board, as Docufide's electronic transcripts will save a significant amount of time for us," said George Hudacheck, senior associate admissions director at the University of Minnesota.

Secure Transcript requires no additional hardware or changes to a school's student information system. Using patent-pending software, installed on any Internet-enabled PC in minutes, high schools electronically "print" transcripts that have been queued for transmittal by students. The electronic documents are then automatically uploaded to Docufide's processing server and then delivered to recipient schools.
