Los Angeles, California -- November 5, 2004 - Docufide, Inc. has announced
the appointment of Dr. Art Stellar to its advisory board. Docufide is the nation's leader in the
electronic transfer of high school transcripts to colleges and scholarship funds with Secure Transcript.
Stellar has a long and distinguished record in education having served, among other roles, as a school
superintendent for 17 years.
"We are delighted to have someone with Art Stellar's credentials and expertise as an
advisor," said John Reese the President/CEO of Docufide, Inc. "Dr. Stellar brings a unique blend of
leadership from all levels of education. He has been the head of a highly successful non-profit, had
commercial experience, and has served on the board of directors of two companies."
High schools use Secure Transcript, Docufide's first service offering, to manage the
ordering, retrieval, and delivery of student transcripts. This fast, free, and efficient web-based service
reduces reliance on paper, while saving time and money for school districts. Students appreciate the
convenience of ordering transcripts anytime they want. Colleges welcome the security, input
standardization, notification and tracking, as well as their paperwork reduction.
"Secure Transcript has a very positive upside for high schools looking for ways to have
their staff spend more time helping students instead of shuffling paper," explained Stellar. "Docufide has
a very bright future which is why I was drawn to this company. Additionally, we provide educators and
students with better data for decision making and allow them to focus on their priorities."
Dr. Stellar has been school superintendent in suburban, rural, and inner city districts -
including Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Boston, Massachusetts; Cobb County, Georgia; and Mercer County, West
Virginia; Shaker Heights, Ohio; and Kingston, New York. He has been elected President of the Association
for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the North American Chapter of the World Council of Curriculum
and Instruction, and the Horace Mann League and was formerly on the board of directors for Plato Learning
of Minnesota. He was Chief Learning Officer for Renaissance Learning and the President/CEO of High/Scope
Educational Research Foundation.
"As Docufide emerges as an important provider of value added services to students, high
schools, colleges and government agencies it is critical that we are highly sensitive to their unique
needs. Art's background and orientation can help us retain this user-focused perspective," claimed John
Reese, "and we certainly hope his enthusiasm for our services will be contagious with his numerous
prot?g?s and associates in the field."
Stellar is currently on the advisory board for Teachers Support Network out of Princeton,
New Jersey and is chairman of the board for the National Dropout Prevention Network/Center housed at
Clemson University. He is a widely published author and in his spare time is an antique collector and
runner.
